Facebook after launching its drone for Internet service for the area where it’s not possible to provide the Internet using Wired transmission, Now Facebook come up with the new feature called “Money transfer using Facebook Messenger“.
Use Facebook Messenger to Send Money
Facebook introduce its new feature by using which you can send and receive money through Facebook messenger, this feature can transform the online banking system. The Facebook messenger which you use for conversation now can work as online banking to send or receive funds from friends.
For the desktop user, you can add a Visa or MasterCard debit card issued by a US bank to your account further you have to create a PIN to make your transaction more secure. The PIN will be issued next time whenever you transfer the money to your friend using Facebook messenger.
Mobile Facebook messenger must update their App before using this feature and then they can follow the same steps, On iOS devices, you can also enable Touch ID. As always, you can add another layer of authentication to your account at any time.
Steps to Send
- Send a message to the person you want to send money to.
- Tap and enter the amount you want to send. If you don’t see, tap to find it.
- Tap Pay in the top right and add your debit card to send money.
How to receive money using FACEBOOK MESSENGER
- Open the conversation containing the money
- Tap Add Card in the conversation and add your debit card to receive money.
The time taken to transfer money depends on your bank but generally, they take 3 days to complete your transactions.
To use Messenger payments the first time, you need to provide funding information. It’s easiest to submit this information as you go through the process of making a payment. But you can also add or change funding methods by updating your payment settings.
